Full Description
Your journey begins at the sacred Kali Temple, a 200‑year‑old shrine filled with devotion and history. From there, we move to St. John’s Church, one of the first cathedrals built by the British in Kolkata. Its quiet neoclassical beauty holds the grave of Job Charnock, the man often called the founder of the city.
Next, you’ll step into the Magen David Synagogue, where memorial plaques honor the Jewish families who shaped Calcutta’s past. Soon after, the grand Nakhoda Masjid awaits—Kolkata’s principal mosque, alive with faith and tradition.
We then visit the stunning Pareshnath Temple, where stained glass and intricate design create a dazzling atmosphere. After soaking in its beauty, it’s time to pause for a relaxed lunch.
The afternoon takes you to the famous Dakshineshwar Temple and the serene Belur Math, two spiritual landmarks separated by the flowing Ganga. A gentle boat ride across the river will give you a moment of calm, with cool breezes and peaceful views that stay with you long after.
Finally, as the day winds down, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel—carrying not just memories of monuments, but the feeling of Kolkata’s soul.
