ISKCON Temple Delhi

A spiritual hub dedicated to Lord Krishna, blending devotion, culture, and architecture.

New Delhi, India

History & Significance

The ISKCON Temple in Delhi, officially known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir, is one of the most prominent centers of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Located on Hare Krishna Hill, East of Kailash, it was inaugurated on April 5, 1998 by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The temple was envisioned by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, to spread the teachings of Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita. It is dedicated to Radha and Krishna, with beautifully adorned idols housed in the sanctum. The temple complex also includes cultural exhibitions, a Vedic museum, and the Glory of India Cultural Center, which narrates India’s spiritual heritage through multimedia shows.

ISKCON Delhi is not just a place of worship—it is a vibrant cultural hub where devotees gather for daily aartis, kirtans, and festivals like Janmashtami, attracting thousands of visitors.
